Korea Zinc established KZAM to enter the secondary battery material business, a future growth industry, and to mass-produce about 13,000 tons of copper foil by investing about 150 billion won in March 2020. KZAM, built on a scale of 19,041 m2 near the Onsan refinery, is a battery material company established based on electrolysis technology accumulated over 50 years by Korea Zinc. It is established to actively promote Korea Zinc’s dream, rechargeable battery business, based on Korea Zinc’s accumulated technology.
