Sulfuric acid
Sulfuric Acid
Sulfuric Acid
Sulfuric acid is a strongly acidic liquid compound, a high thick (more than about 90% by mass) and concentrated sulfuric acid.
About 60% of the sulfuric acid produced is for the manufacture of fertilizers such as superphosphates, ammonium phosphate and ammonium sulfate, and the remaining 20% is for water purification, aluminum reduction and acidification, as well as detergents, synthetic resins, pigments, pharmaceuticals and petroleum catalysts, pesticides, antifreeze, etc.
Another major use of sulfuric acid is the manufacture of aluminum sulfate, which is made by treating bauxite with sulfuric acid.
